The Celtic Goddess Brigid is celebrated at Imbolg 2nd of February, its also called Candlemass. It is the festival of light were we welcome back the light, were as on the Winter Solstice the light is but a meer spark, now the light becomes a flame of a candle. Imbolg also means in the belly, where things are growing although you cannot see them like the spring bulbs which are now starting to come to life as is all life.
Brigid comes from Irish mythology and is said that where ever she walks small flowers and shamrocks would appear. She is a Sun Goddess, her gifts are light, knowledge, and the healing energy of the Sun. There are many springs and wells in Ireland named after Brigid, where the water is said to be a portal to other worlds and many would throw a coin in them for good luck, which is still very much part of the modern day.
This Beautiful Figurine is made of cold cast resin in bronze effect with so much detail. Another great product by Nemesis Now.
