Brigid is a Celtic Goddess, her origins lye in Irish Mythology. Brigid is celebrated at Imbolc - Imbolg on the 2nd of February. Imbolg is one of the eight sabbats celebrated in Wicca & Druidry, sometimes known as Candlemass. Brigid is a Sun Goddess, her gifts are knowledge and light, she gives healing energy of the Sun.
Brigid is featured holding a flame, which on the Winter Solstice on the shortest day of the year was a spark. Now at Imbolg it becomes a flame where you can sence and feel the light coming back, the days that little bit longer and warmer. It is said that on imbolg the weather on that day determines the weather for the rest of the winter. Made of cold cast resin in bronze effect with some colour.
